Brent Delehey

Brent has 23 years of experience in the financial information publishing industry. Having begun his career selling mutual funds for Eaton Vance, and then selling limited partnerships for Krupp, Brent moved to First Call Corporation in 1988. While he began his career at First Call in sales, Brent’s responsibilities continued to increase until he served his last three years as President and CEO. In those three years, Brent was directly responsible for multiple new product launches, acquisitions, and continued revenue and earnings growth. In 2000 Brent co-founded a real-time financial information company, Business Data Exchange (BD-X), which launched its real-time corporate transcript product in December 2001. Brent sold BD-X to CCBN.com/Thomson/Reuters (NYSE: TRI). In 2002, Brent joined Forefield Inc, as its CEO. Brent transformed Forefield into a multiple product, highly profitable business. Brent sold Forefield to Broadridge Financial Solutions (NYSE:BR) in 2010.
Brent serves as an Adjunct Faculty at Middlesex Community College where he teaches Entrepreneurial, Business, and Economic courses. Through Delehey Ventures, Brent frequently consults for data and software companies servicing the financial and educational communities. Brent serves as an advisor to Middlesex Community College, Boston University, North Hill Ventures, and is a frequent guest lecturer at Year-Up Urban Development Program, Babson College, Olin College, Manchester Community College, and Cape Cod Community College.
Brent holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Dartmouth College and an MBA with a concentration in finance and accounting from Boston University. Brent has passed FINRA series exams 6, 7, 22, 23, and 63. Brent is a Chartered Financial Analyst with the CFA Institute. Brent holds multiple patents in database design, software design, and consumer products.
