GlassHouse Technologies, Inc. Opens West Coast Office

GlassHouse Technologies, Inc., the leading provider of independent storage services and consulting, today announced the opening of its West Coast regional office in Santa Clara, CA.

The Santa Clara office offers a full range of storage services and consulting to existing regional clients in addition to serving as headquarters for GlassHouse’s recently-announced Customer Support Services practice, acquired from Auspex in June.

In addition to establishing a regional presence for clients and prospects, the Santa Clara office is strategically located to facilitate GlassHouse’s relationships with many of its technology partners. GlassHouse manages relationships with established and emerging storage hardware and software vendors that enable its consultants to maintain a high level of expertise and familiarity with a wide variety of storage solutions. The company is vendor-neutral and does not sell hardware or software.

“We continue to pursue a strategy of conservative, organic growth geared to meet the needs of our clients,” said Mark Shirman, CEO and President of GlassHouse. “The Santa Clara office gives GlassHouse a strong local presence to better serve our Western region clients who seek vendor-neutral, independent storage and backup expertise. This office also benefits our Auspex support clients, who look to GlassHouse to continue the exemplary level of customer support they received from Auspex,” Shirman continued.

Tom Ludden, VP of Customer Support Services, will be based in the new office, reporting to Michael Tobin, GlassHouse Senior VP of Operations. David Bregman and Tricia Bregman, Sales Directors of West Coast Operations, also will operate out of the Santa Clara office. West Coast region sales reports to Brian Ritchie, SVP of Sales. The office is located at 2800 Lakeside Drive, Santa Clara, CA 95050. Sales and Customer Support Services personnel can be reached at 1.408.855.0063.

In a separate announcement June 16, GlassHouse Technologies reported that it had acquired Auspex’s worldwide services and support business, with staff and resources in Durham, NC, Dallas, TX, Santa Clara, CA, and New Hampshire, as well as contractors in Singapore, Beijing, Tokyo, and London. The group serves the support needs of Auspex customers worldwide, providing parts, logistics, break/fix service, and a 24×7 call center.

“Auspex users rely on their installed systems, and we will continue to support them in their critical storage operations,” said Tom Ludden. “The new GlassHouse Santa Clara office brings together the technical expertise and resources of Auspex’s Customer Support team with GlassHouse’s strategy, design, implementation and training experts to delivers end-to-end storage services for CIOs and IT departments worldwide.”

GlassHouse Technologies was founded in August 2001 by a veteran team of IT, storage and consulting experts. The company provides a full range of services including storage strategy, assessment, design, implementation, education and solution maintenance.
