Jeremy Wright, co-founder of Enpocket, has been re-elected Chairman of the UK Mobile Marketing Association for the second successive year. The position also gives him a seat on the MMA Europe board.
Commenting on the appointment, Jonathon Linner, CEO of Enpocket, said: “We are delighted that our peers in the industry have recognised the pivotal role that Jeremy has played in developing the industry’s first comprehensive Code of Conduct and best practice guidelines.
The UK MMA’s pioneering work, which leads the international community, defines how responsible mobile marketing should be conducted. It also helps marketers navigate their way through the tangle of legislation and codes that impact the industry. We fully expect other emerging markets in the EU, and in the US, to adopt many of the standards that Jeremy and the UK board have defined.”
Jeremy Wright said: ”I am honoured to have been re-elected. Mobile is such a powerful, personal medium that effective self-regulation is critical if mobile marketing is to develop successfully. With a comprehensive Code now in place, covering everything from consent and data management, to information requirements, marketing to children, competitions, premium rate and other special considerations, I look forward to doing more this year promoting the value of the medium for marketing.”
