Colubris Networks announced today that it joined the WiMax Forum, an industry group promoting the development of a wireless broadband technology based on the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers 802.16 standard. Colubris will ship WiMax-enabled equipment next year targeting backhaul and public last mile applications. The WiMax products will integrate with the Colubris Networks Multi-Service WLAN System.
