Incipient, Inc., a leading provider of intelligent switch-resident storage software, has strengthened its management team with the appointment of Robert Infantino as Senior Vice President of Marketing. In his new position, Infantino will drive the company’s global marketing and communication initiatives as well as build on its strategic relationships with OEM business partners.
Infantino brings to Incipient more than 18 years of sales and marketing leadership experience in the storage industry. Prior to joining Incipient, Infantino was a consultant for several storage-related companies where he helped to reposition go-to-market strategies, expand business development efforts and contribute to fund-raising initiatives. Prior to consulting, Infantino was Founder and CEO of storage resource management software company Astrum Software Corporation. Astrum Software was acquired by EMC Corporation (NYSE: EMC) in April 2003. Infantino was also Founder and Vice President of Sales for Acorn Software Corporation, a pioneer in developing OpenVMS based storage software to manage near-line media for Fortune 100 based companies.
