Colubris Systems announced today the interoperability between Fusion Communications Corporation’s FUSION IP-Phone Service and the Colubris Intelligent Multiservice WLAN System.
Fusion Communications Corporation is one of the largest Internet Protocol (IP) telephone companies and the first company to provide IP (toll bypass) telephone services in Japan. The multi-vendor benchmark testing was performed by the Fusion and Marubeni Solutions Corporation VoWLAN Alliance. The purpose of this alliance is to source and verify a VoWLAN solution for enterprise customers in Japan. Marubeni Solutions is a provider of IT and electronics solutions.
“Fusion and Marubeni Solutions completed the Wireless VoIP interoperability test between the FUSION IP-Phone Service and Colubris WLAN devices to test VoIP in enterprise WLAN environments,” said Motoharu Matsuo, general manager, Security Integration Department, IT Solutions Division, Marubeni Solutions. “In the interoperability test, a SIP server provided by FUSION IP-Phone Service, Colubris’ Intelligent Multiservice WLAN System and Wireless VoIP Hitachi handsets were utilized to confirm voice quality with QoS, connection stability during handoffs and security. This test verified that the Fusion and Marubeni Solutions using Colubris equipment, experienced no voice degradations during calls, exhibited high-speed handoffs and provided for secure data communications.”
