GrandBanks Capital, an early stage venture capital firm focused on east-coast investments, today announced that Greg Jones has joined the firm as its Chief Administrative Officer. In his new role, Jones will focus on managing the financial, legal, and operational activities of the fund.

Jones comes to the GrandBanks Capital team from Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault, LLP in Boston, where he spent more than eight years representing venture capital funds in connection with their portfolio company investment activity, fund formation, and regulatory matters. In his former role, Jones also represented numerous high technology and emerging growth private and public companies in connection with private financings and IPOs, commercial lending and equipment leasing arrangements, mergers and acquisitions, licensing transactions, and joint ventures.

Jones started his career with Arthur Young & Co. in New York and is also a certified public accountant. He holds an AB from Dartmouth College, a MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business, and a JD from the Boston University School of Law.
