COLUBRIS KICKS-OFF PROXIM REBATE PROGRAM

In response to the sale of Proxim, Colubris Networks, a leading provider of intelligent, multiservice WLAN systems, announced today three programs for existing Proxim customers that provide rebates for hardware and software ranging from hundreds to thousands of dollars depending on the size of the network.  The rebate programs are available today through December 31, 2005 at all authorized Colubris distributors and resellers worldwide.

The three programs are:  Trade In/Trade Up Program; Manage and Grow Program and Proxim Prospect Program.  The Trade In/Trade Up Program allows customers considering additional purchases or replacement of Proxim access points to upgrade to the Colubris InMotion™ MultiService Controller 3200, InMotion MultiService Controller 3300, MultiService Access Point 330 or the MultiService Access Point 320 with a generous per device rebate.

The InCharge™ Colubris Network Management System (CNMS) has managed Proxim access points for over two years.  The Manage and Grow Program provides discounts on the purchase of CNMS from $500 to $10,000.  Customers upgrading a multivendor network with legacy Proxim equipment to CNMS are eligible.  The program offers Proxim customers a smooth migration path to a unified services network, which unifies wired LANs and WLANs into one network.

The Proxim Prospect Program authorizes approved Colubris distributors and resellers to provide special discounted pricing to existing Proxim customers that switch to Colubris equipment.

The Colubris Intelligent MulitService System (CIMS) delivers the industry’s broadest range of WLAN services to standard client devices and includes Colubris InMotion MultiService Controllers; InReach™ MultiService Access Points (MAP) and the InCharge™ Network Management System (NMS).  Colubris’ support for Proxim access points enables customers to grow their networks and/or add more services without replacing their installed equipment.  The Colubris TriPlane architecture complements an ORiNOCO installation because it uses distributed intelligence to deliver multiple WLAN services.  It provides customers an alternative to WLAN switches that introduce higher costs, create scalability bottlenecks and add technical complexity.
