CXO Systems, a leader in real-time risk intelligence software, today announced the development of its IT Risk Management (ITRM) Dashboard. The ITRM Dashboard will help Chief Information Officers (CIOs) and Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) better manage the business of IT by providing consolidated, real-time views of risks and IT operations.
Previously, CIOs could not achieve a consolidated view of all systems without access to a maze of system consoles, databases, spreadsheets, emails and hallway discussions. “Without an ITRM Dashboard, CIO’s are not able to manage the impact of real-time events in this environment or adequately manage the business risk inherent in IT operations,” said Alok Batra, chief technology officer of CXO Systems.
With the ITRM Dashboard, key areas such as security; network operations; sourcing; IT projects and service level management can be aggregated and viewed holistically. The CXO dashboard supports real-time data sharing across business boundaries, and as a result operational risk exposures become proactive notifications rather than reactive business issues. This ensures:
· Unified Views of IT Operational Risk- Aggregated information is distilled and correlated through easily set thresholds and metrics and delivered to the desktop for real-time decision making.
· Personalized Presentation of Information - Executives are empowered to determine the level of detail and information displayed, in the format of their choice.
· Real-Time, As-It-Happens Management – Executives can drill-down into data at any level for further granularity.
“We chose CXO Systems security and IT dashboard to help us mitigate risks and more effectively manage our IT Operations,” said David Chapman, chief technology architect of British American Tobacco. “We have been working with CXO Systems for many years and have watched their product mature and additional modules address our core risk concerns.”
The ITRM Dashboard is supported by the CXO Visibility System, a network-based business intelligence system. It leverages the inherent connectivity, security and integration of a company’s existing IP network. Its service oriented architecture allows real-time connections to information directly at its source, wherever it is in the organization. This is particularly important since the CIO’s span of applications, systems and networks is so enormous. CXO can leverage the Cisco AON platform to provide unparalleled event tracking at network speeds. This enables CIO’s to develop their own real-time view of system activity and events, without disturbing other systems and applications. Furthermore, it eliminates the need for cumbersome and expensive middleware such as EII, EAI and BAM.
