Enpocket, the Intelligent Mobile Marketing™ company, today announced the appointment of Daniel Hodges as the company’s Executive Vice President of Sales to lead the new wave of mobile advertising sales. Hodges brings 20 years of advertising and media industry experience to Enpocket and will be responsible for driving mobile advertising sales of Sprint Mobile Media.
“We’re thrilled to have such a seasoned advertising executive join our team,” said Mike Baker, CEO of Enpocket. “Dan’s extensive experience working with brand marketers is an invaluable asset to Enpocket and our industry as we provide more compelling ways for brands to reach consumers via the mobile device.”
Hodges joins Enpocket from Greenwich Consulting Partners, where he served as a general partner and was responsible for helping executive management teams at large media companies such as Reuters, Ziff Davis, and Bertlesmann package their advertising offering and structure their sales forces. Previous to his appointment at Greenwich Consulting Partners, Hodges served in senior management roles at the Discovery Networks and MediaVest, a division of Publicis. A pioneer in interactive media, Hodges helped launch Discovery’s on-line presence, discovery.com, as well as Your Choice TV, which was the forerunner to today’s video on demand service. Hodges was part of Discovery’s executive sales team that grew revenue from $125 million in 1992 to $900 million in 1999. The Discovery sales force was rated the number one sales force in the entire media industry for eight consecutive years and one of the top 25 sales forces in the United States.
“Enpocket has a unique solution for advertisers who want to reach millions of mobile consumers with highly targeted mobile advertising,” said Hodges. “I look forward to working with top advertisers and agencies to demonstrate the power to engage with consumers in the very personal and uncluttered mobile environment.”
