Incipient, Inc. Ends Second Quarter With Record Bookings And A New Release Of iNSP Software

Incipient, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise-class network data migration software, marked the end of its second quarter 2007 with the highest bookings performance in the company’s history. This successful quarter is attributable to continued market adoption of the company’s iNSP software product family and its increased foothold in the financial services sector. Additionally this quarter, Incipient released a new version of its iNSP software, added industry leaders to its growing list of computing partners and significantly expanded its direct sales force to address growing customer demand for its software.

The iNSP software product family simplifies storage related operations which drives efficiencies across SAN infrastructures without disruption to business operations, 24x7x365. New enhancements in the latest release of iNSP specifically address the challenges of too much downtime, growing storage costs and demanding service level agreements from various lines of business – common among global financial services companies. The new release of iNSP incorporates an increase in product scalability and availability, optimized data migration management capabilities, support for Active Directory, non-disruptive software upgrades and broader interoperability.

Incipient also broadened its support for the world’s leading computing platforms with additional certifications from Microsoft and leading storage array vendors, as announced earlier in the year.

The company announced in June that iNSP demonstrated compatibility with Microsoft Windows Server 2003 and earned its Windows Server 2003 qualification. To earn its qualification, Incipient designed a plug-in to Microsoft MPIO (multipathing I/O driver) which enables compatibility between iNSP software and the Windows Server 2003 family of products. Support for Windows MPIO broadens iNSP’s multipathing interoperability which also includes Device Mapper on Linux, MPxIO on Solaris, Symantec DMP, and EMC PowerPath.

Finally, the company expanded its worldwide direct sales force to handle increasing demand for its products both in the U.S. and overseas. This increase in sales force capacity coupled with new channel relationships it recently entered into, the company is well positioned to respond to continuing rapid growth.

“Receptivity to our offering within the financial services sector has been strong, given the versatility and ability of iNSP to uniquely and cost-effectively address pain points associated with everyday SAN operations,” said Ric Calvillo, CEO of Incipient, Inc. “We are very pleased with our progress and look forward to continued momentum as customers discover the many ways iNSP can support strategic initiatives while helping to reduce the cost of maintaining large enterprise SANs.”
