Vela Systems, a developer of mobile software that streamlines field administration for the AECO (Architecture-Engineering-Construction-Owners) industry, announced today that construction software sales veteran, Gary Greenberger, has joined the company as Vice President of Sales. Greenberger possesses more than 25 years experience in technology sales. Most recently he served as Executive VP of the Americas for CTSpace (formerly Citadon), where he oversaw sales and marketing prior to its acquisition by The Sword Group. Prior to that, he was VP of Sales for Constructware, achieving an annual sales growth rate of more than 85 percent, leading to the company’s successful acquisition by Autodesk. While VP of Sales for CompuCom Systems, a $1.5 billion system integrator, Greenberger managed a 100-plus sales and support staff with annual sales exceeding $600 million. As General Manager of the Atlanta branch of Entex Information Services, his tenure produced revenue growth from $10 million to $100 million. Vela Systems is the leading developer of mobile software that streamlines field administration for the AECO industry. Vela Systems’ software, which has been used on more than 300 projects from Las Vegas to Dubai, replaces notebooks and tubes of drawings traditionally used on construction sites with field management software installed on rugged Tablet PCs. Vela Systems’ modules accomplish specific tasks such as field repairs, punch lists and safety inspections. Vela’s customers save at least 10 hours per week per user and accelerate project delivery by as much as two days per month. Vela Systems’ software also captures the true “cost of quality,” giving managers an up-to-date view of all substandard work and associated costs, so they can ensure sub-contractors fix problems before they leave the site. Finally, Vela Systems’ automatically creates an audit trail on which AECO organizations can depend in the event of litigation. “Vela already has strong market traction; leaders in the AECO community realize this is the new standard technology for construction,” said Greenberger. “I’ve worked with industry innovators worldwide – and have helped ‘grow’ many companies — but I am particularly excited about Vela’s potential and the time and money it’s saving for architects, engineers, contractors and owners.” “Gary is a rare breed – a proven sales executive in the construction software market – and we are confident he will take us to the next level,” said Tim Curran, CEO of Vela Systems. “Having managed big sales organizations myself, it’s clear that Gary’s management skills and market knowledge will further our rapid growth.” About Vela Systems, Inc.:
