Colubris Networks, the leading global provider of intelligent wireless LANs (WLANs) for enterprises and service providers, today announced two additions to its senior sales management team. Gary Mead joins as vice president of international sales and Jerry Stabile joins as vice president of North America sales, effective immediately. Both executives will report to Chris Koeneman, vice president of worldwide sales and service.
These two executives extensive sales leadership backgrounds make both of them invaluable additions to our management team, said Koeneman. With their expertise, we expect Colubris to continue rapidly expanding its market presence as we roll out our industry-leading 802.11n solution in North America and overseas.
Mead, who is based in London, is responsible for Colubris business in EMEA, CALA, Asia/Pacific and Japan. The appointment of Mead is particularly timely as Colubris becomes a global company with 50% of its revenue coming from outside the U.S. He comes to Colubris from Polycom/Spectralink where he ran the international sales/support business and achieved a remarkable 900% in revenue growth. Prior to Spectralink, he held leadership positions with PictureTel, Motorola and Octave.
Stabile is based at Colubris headquarters in the Boston area and is responsible for all sales activity in North America. He joins Colubris from Bluesocket/Pingtel where he was vice president of sales. Prior to Pingtel, he was with NetScout Systems as vice president of worldwide sales, where he grew NetScouts revenue four-fold from $27 million to $120 million and participated in the companys successful IPO.
The arrival of these two top sales leaders enhances the companys management team and will help Colubris leverage its technical leadership in 802.11nthe most exciting segment of the wireless LAN market. Mead and Stabile join an impressive roster of heavy-hitters who have led high-growth wireless and networking companies such as IPeria, Cisco Systems, Shiva, Lucent, Eicon Technology, Visual Networks and 3Com, as well as a host of early stage technology and services companies.
