Coradiant, Inc., a leading Managed Service Provider (MSP) that offers round-the-clock operation of web-based systems in both enterprise and Internet data centers, today announced its new Site Relocation Services, allowing customers to relocate their web operations between Internet data centers quickly and reliably, with minimal or no application downtime. Coradiant’s Site Relocation Services give customers the freedom to choose among a variety of Internet data centers in which their web operations will reside.
“A complete site relocation requires a huge amount of time, personnel, and experience,” said Cary Goldwax, Senior VP of Sales Operations at Coradiant. “Coradiant’s Site Relocation Services give our clients these resources to coordinate the complete move on their behalf. And Coradiant’s extensive partnerships with a variety of industry-leading data centers and bandwidth providers-such as Internap, Equinix, WorldCom, and AT&T-deliver a choice of best-in-class, stable, secure providers that let clients choose the best mix of service providers, including managed services, available in the industry today. We are very excited to be able to respond to the needs of our customers in this way.”
This new service makes Coradiant’s extensive experience in deploying complex infrastructures within diverse collocated Internet data centers available to clients who need to quickly change their hosting and web site strategies. The process is coordinated by a single point of contact at Coradiant, who manages the various stages of the relocation process according to a set of well-defined best practices The relocation architect coordinates both Coradiant and the client, managing the move within a city or across a continent. This includes project planning for the relocation, and the scheduling of physical and logical transitions. The approach ensures a fault-free move tailored to the specific needs of clients.
At the start of a site relocation project, Coradiant performs a comprehensive asset survey, tagging and documenting the configurations, devices, and connections in the web system. In the case of a “two-legged” relocation, the site is moved quickly during off-hours to minimize the impact to users. More mission-critical applications require migration with a “three-legged” relocation in which Coradiant moves the system in several stages to a third location to keep the site up. Coradiant’s industry-leading OutSmart™ infrastructure may be used to support temporary staging equipment and reduce the capital outlay of the migration.
When the site relocation has been completed, a post-relocation assessment is provided, to report on the timeline of the migration and any issues that may have surfaced as part of the process. Coradiant’s OutSight™ application performance management service is deployed with the new site following the relocation, to provide a detailed record of any post-relocation issues that might occur and establish an impartial baseline against which to gauge performance and availability changes.
Coradiant has already seamlessly relocated several clients between data centers, both as a simple relocation service and as the start of a managed service engagement. Recent changes in the hosting and colocation market make qualified, dependable site relocation and highly available multi-site configurations especially important to enterprises that rely on web systems for their business. Coradiant’s Site Relocation Service eliminates the fear of being “trapped” in a data center, and gives customers the freedom to choose a location that more closely reflects their requirements for site performance, availability, scalability and security.
