Market Leader to Launch Enhanced ZigBee-Compliant Hardware and
Software at Expo, Company Executive to Give Presentation on
De-Mystifying the Building of ZigBee Applications
WHO: Ember Corporation and Zachary Smith, Chief Software
Architect
WHERE: Sensors Expo & Conference, Booth #315
McCormick Place, Chicago
WHEN: Conference: Monday, June 6 to Thursday, June 9
ZigBee Standard Seminar: Monday, June 6
WHAT: The wireless network standard ZigBee is positioned to solve
the unique needs of remote monitoring and control, and sensor
network applications. At Sensors Expo & Conference, Ember
Corporation will unveil the next generation of ZigBee
technology. The announcement will include the world’s first
“ZigBee-on-a-chip” system and Ember’s second-generation ZigBee
software stack. The company will also introduce new software
tools for rapid application development and debugging. These
enhanced products aim to help companies create
ZigBee-compliant wireless products significantly faster,
easier and more profitably than current first-generation
offerings.
Ember’s Chief Software Architect Zachary Smith will be
speaking during the ZigBee Standard Seminar on Monday June
6th. Sessions will be held in room E353B on the third level of
the Lakeside Center, McCormick Place, from 9:00 – 5:00 p.m.,
and Smith’s session will run from 2:15 – 3:00 p.m.
Smith’s presentation aims to provide a high-level “punch list”
of some of the less understood application considerations
developers face before designing their ZigBee solutions,
including issues such as network topologies, interoperability
options, security levels, platform differences, and
development environments. Attendees will come away with a
better understanding of how to approach the design of ZigBee
applications, which questions to consider, which approaches to
weigh, and which vendor features to scrutinize.

Sensors Expo should contact Michelle Malfy at 603-559-5835 or
