Enpocket, the leading wireless media services company, has been appointed by Wegener Consumer Lifestyle, one of the UK’s largest direct marketing service providers, to represent its mobile media lists. The 18-month exclusive technology and media deal sees Wegener (formerly the Consumer Surveys part of the Dudley Jenkins Group) join the wide ranging portfolio of premium media owners Enpocket represents, which includes O2, Emap, NHS, Shazam, Unideal, Lycos and Premium TV.
Enpocket will offer marketers opportunity to target over 400,000 consumers who have opted in to Wegener to receive 3rd party SMS marketing and completed a Lifestyle Focus questionnaire. The list gives over 200 variables from the total database of 20 million people including key demographics; behavioural and lifestyle information; and purchasing habits and intentions in the areas of shopping, mail order buying, car ownership, media consumption, utilities, communications and financial services.
For marketers the deal significantly widens the reach of tightly targeted SMS activity, bringing with it opportunity to test and roll out where successful ROI is demonstrated.
