Enpocket unites market-leading experience in Europe, North America and Asia with SkyGo purchase

Enpocket, the leading mobile marketing solution provider, has extended its international presence and resource by acquiring the technology and IP of the early US market leader, SkyGo.

SkyGo has been a leading pioneer of mobile marketing in North America and Asia since 1999. SkyGo has delivered successful mobile marketing solutions for media companies such as ABC and ESPN, and advertisers including Visa, CompUSA, P&G and Warner Bros, working with operators AT&T, Nextel, Sprint, J-Phone in Japan, and the five largest carriers in Hong Kong.

Enpocket will add SkyGo’s rich technology base to its own wide repertoire of experience and capabilities in mobile media, technology and research developed in the highly advanced UK market and now being rolled out across the US.

Enpocket has also hired SkyGo founders Derek Proudion, Daren Tsui and Edwin Ho and is opening an office in the San Francisco area to expand Enpocket’s reach in North America and Asia.

Commenting on the announcement Jonathon Linner, CEO of Enpocket, said: ‘We are delighted to be bringing within Enpocket all that made SkyGo an early market leader. The SkyGo founders will significantly strengthen our team, while the SkyGo technology assets will help make the Enpocket Engine the most comprehensive and powerful technology platform in the marketplace.’

Daren Tsui of SkyGo added: ‘Since 2001, Enpocket has done more than any other company to help marketers develop and deliver hundreds of effective SMS campaigns. In many ways the approaches of the two companies have been similar, in that we have both believed in the need to prove the medium through robust delivery and analytics technology, the highest media standards, and use of independent research to accurately determine consumer impact in terms of response, branding and overall acceptance.’

This approach has helped an impressive roll call of clients to both companies which includes: Levi’s, Nike, McDonalds, Orange, BBC, Volvo, HSBC, NHS, Vodafone, Fox, Honda, Sony, Universal Pictures, Expedia, Warner Brothers, T-Mobile, Cadbury’s, Coca-Cola, P&G, JCPenney, KFC, O2, Doritos, HP, Fidelity, GM, CompUSA and Mastercard.
