Gerald Labie Named President and CEO of CXO Systems

CXO Systems, a leader in real-time risk and operational intelligence software, today announced that software industry veteran Gerald Labie has joined the company as president and chief executive officer. The addition of Mr. Labie solidifies CXO Systems’ strong executive team and positions the company to capitalize on the rapidly growing risk and operational intelligence markets.

Mr. Labie has more than twenty years of management experience in the information technology (IT) industry. Most recently, he served on the board of directors and held the titles of president and COO at Novadigm, a publicly traded systems management software company acquired by Hewlett Packard in 2004. There, he initiated several changes that resulted in better execution, greater market penetration and record revenues. Previously, Mr. Labie was a senior vice president at Tech Data Corporation where he served first as president of European operations, overseeing the company’s $1.7 billion European business, and then as senior vice president of marketing.

“We are thrilled Jerry has joined CXO Systems and look forward to the extensive management experience he will bring to the company and our executive team,” said Lou Volpe, Managing Director of Kodiak Venture Partners.

“Under his leadership, we are confident that CXO Systems will continue to increase its share of the emerging risk and operational intelligence markets,” added Charley Lax, Managing General Partner at GrandBanks Capital.

Prior to Tech Data and Novadigm, Mr. Labie held several key positions at Corporate Software, Inc., including senior vice president and general manager of European operations and senior vice president, North America. During his tenure, Corporate Software emerged as a worldwide leader in software license management for multinational corporations with revenues of $750 million. Earlier in his career, Mr. Labie held several sales, marketing and management positions for IBM Corporation and Data General Corporation. He received a bachelor’s degree from Alfred University in Alfred, NY.

“There is a tremendous unmet need to monitor risk and operational performance in the enterprise space,” said Mr. Labie. “CXO’s ability to aggregate disparate data, build virtual information models and present right-time operational views to front line personnel meets this need perfectly. I look forward to working closely with the strong executive and professional team already in place to drive CXO Systems’ continued growth and success.”
