GlassHouse Technologies, a global provider of independent IT infrastructure consulting services, today announced that CEO, Mark Shirman, and Vice President of Customer Support Services, Rick Cameron, were named Finalists in the 2009 American Business Awards in the categories of Executive of the Year (Services) and Customer Service Executive of the Year respectively.

Shirman founded GlassHouse Technologies in 2001 and serves as President and CEO. For the past eight years he has worked to provide GlassHouse customers with high-level consulting and managed services, building GlassHouse into a leader in the storage and data center markets. GlassHouse now provides services in multiple practice areas, including storage, virtualization, IT security, disaster recovery, backup and cloud computing.
Rick Cameron, Vice President of Customer Support Services at GlassHouse Technologies, was also named a finalist in the American Business Awards’ Customer Service Executive of the Year category. Rick oversees the company’s customer support services, including the GlassHouse call center, global field service support and logistics storage and distribution support offerings.

Stevie Award winners will be announced during the annual gala on Monday, June 22 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City. Six-hundred executives from across the U.S.A. are expected to attend. The ceremonies will be broadcast on radio nationwide by the Business TalkRadio Network and hosted by Cheryl Casone of Fox Business Network.
