GlassHouse Technologies, Inc., the leading provider of independent storage services and consulting, today announced the appointment of Ken Elmer to the new post of Vice President of Human Resources, reporting to CEO Mark Shirman. Elmer has more than 15 years of high-tech leadership, management and human resources experience with professional and software services firms, most recently as Chief People Officer of Viant Corporation.

Elmer has extensive experience in human resources management and has held project management and engagement delivery roles, developing client relationships in the financial services, insurance, telecommunications, manufacturing and distribution industries. As Chief People Officer for Viant Corporation, he had responsibility for developing the company’s culture, building its consulting staff, and maintaining employee morale. Prior to Viant Elmer served in a number of operational and human resources roles for Cambridge Technology Partners, beginning as a Client Partner managing client relationships, building the company’s Dublin, Zurich and Central European operations, and serving as Vice President of Business Operations Management and HR. He began his career as Manager of Client Services at Sanchez Computer Associates. Elmer holds a B.S. in Management Information Systems from the University of Rhode Island.
