Boston, May 19, 2003 – OutStart, provider of the only proven, content-centric software product family for learning, announced today that Solidex, one of Poland’s largest systems integrators, has signed a partnership agreement to resell OutStart’s integrated product family in Poland. The company has also licensed OutStart Evolution® to help increase its own organizational performance through learning.
Poland has seen a sharp rise in demand for effective learning solutions over the last year, driven largely in part by funding for large projects being made available from the European Union (EU), which Poland will join in 2004.
Solidex will resell OutStart’s integrated Evolution, SoftSimTM, Trainersoft and Studio products to help its clients and prospects increase their performance through learning. “Our reputation for client satisfaction is built on ensuring that clients implement the best technology to solve the specific challenges facing their organization,” said Wojciech Komnata, PhD, Solidex’s Business Development Department Director and a member of the Board of Directors. “We chose to resell OutStart’s product family because it is proven as the world’s strongest offering to transform business know-how into assets that can be capitalized upon throughout the enterprise.”
John Feighan, OutStart’s Managing Director in Europe, commented that the reseller agreement with Solidex will support OutStart’s increased penetration into the European market. “Solidex has a tremendous grasp of how learning can drive organizational performance and is a powerhouse in the Polish technology market,” he said. “This agreement represents the next phase in our growth in Europe. Solidex conducted a rigorous search and qualification of products and vendors in the learning market and we are delighted that they chose to partner with OutStart.”
In addition to reselling OutStart’s product family, Solidex will use the Evolution learning platform to:
Migrate all existing internal training materials to electronic form, by importing Word documents and Power Point slides into a central Evolution repository, where they will be stored as reusable learning objects.
Author and add new learning content to Evolution’s repository as reusable learning objects that can be combined with existing training, such as ISO-certification, new employee training, product training, etc.
Distribute personalized training to employees through the delivery method that is the most effective for the learner, such as PDA, Web, presentation, Word or CD, while ensuring that the right group receives the correct training program, through role-based access.
Manage and measure learner interactions in order to ensure baseline knowledge and proficiency among employees.
“Evolution provides a standard way to capture and store Solidex’s proprietary learning content and allows it to be reused both online and offline,” said Marek Hyla, e-learning consultant, manager of Solidex’s recently established e-learning division, and one of the leading experts on e-learning in Poland.
