OUTSTART NAMED TO INFOWORLD 100

Salesnet and OutStart announced today that InfoWorld awarded
OutStart’s deployment of Salesnet’s online CRM software as one of the Top 100 IT projects making use of
information technology to best meet business and technical objectives. Since implementing a salesfocused
CRM strategy with Salesnet, OutStart has increased new business and enhanced customer
relationships.
“We are honored to be recognized by InfoWorld as an IT innovator for using Salesnet to support our key
sales processes and seamlessly track many of our customer interactions,” said Ellen Brezniak, vice
president of marketing at OutStart. “Salesnet’s online CRM solution allows us to easily map our best
practices with a number of clearly defined user interfaces to support our executive management team,
inside and outside sales organizations, and our finance and shipping departments. We’re able to more
effectively manage all of these processes and have substantially increased the accuracy of our reporting
and analysis, especially in the sales and marketing departments — all at a fraction of the cost of a
client/server installation, and with very little IT involvement.”
Over the past year, many of Salesnet’s customers have been recognized by the CRM industry for the
outstanding results they’ve witnessed:
In March 2003, Sovereign Bank’s (NYSE: SOV) (www.sovereignbank.com), Salesnet deployment was
selected by Aberdeen Group as one of the Top Ten CRM Implementations of 2003. Sovereign, a $40
billion financial institution with approximately 525 community banking offices, has significantly
increased cross- and up-sell opportunities, leading to customers moving from an average of two
products/services with the bank to about six.
In July 2003, Quill Corporation (www.quill.com), a division of Staples, Inc., was named a CRM
Excellence Award Winner from Customer Inter@ction Solutions magazine. Quill has experienced a
month-over-month revenue growth of 10 percent. Further proof of the success of the
implementation is that the sales team is reporting a 100 percent satisfaction rate with Salesnet.
In August 2003, Verifications Inc. (www.verificationsinc.com), a leading provider of employment
screening services for Fortune 100 companies, was named a 2003 CRM Elite Award Winner by CRM
magazine. Verifications has increased revenues by 60 percent in just 12 months following its Salesnet
deployment.
“Helping customers, like OutStart, succeed with CRM is critical to how we have built a successful, loyal,
and powerful customer base,” said Mike Doyle, chairman and CEO of Salesnet. “We will continue
throughout the new year to stay focused on delivering the easiest to acquire, implement, and own pureplay
online CRM solutions, keeping us not only OnDemand by our customers — but InDemand.”
