Canova Wireless, a leading provider of managed high-speed, wireless and wired Internet services, in partnership with Colubris Networks, a pioneer of intelligent multiservice WLAN systems technology, today announced a £1 million ($1.8 million USD) agreement with Swallow Hotels and Swallow Inns to provide high speed wireless and wired Internet Access to over 75 locations. The implementation will enable guests to access the Internet wirelessly in all public areas and conference rooms and through high speed fixed connections in over 3,000 rooms across the UK.

Canova Wireless approached Swallow Hotels and was chosen because it was able to develop a compelling ROI model and a competitively priced wireless solution through its established heritage in the hotel sector. The deployment of the solution throughout the group was driven by the general management as they recognised how it would improve the guest experience. The Swallow Hotel in Gateshead was the first to deploy the solution.

Swallow is keen to maximise the wireless infrastructure by looking at opportunities to deploy applications in the future such as RFID.

Canova Wireless installed the Colubris Networks Intelligent, MultiService WLAN System including InReach MultiService Access Points and the InMotion MultiService Controllers to allow secure Guest Internet Access.
