Another day, another partnership deal in the world of enterprise wireless LANs. Startup Colubris Networks Inc. has hooked up with Avaya Inc. The results of the second-annual Webtorials “Wireless LAN State-of-the-Market Report” have just been published, revealing a mélange of enterprise trends, some expected, others not. The report, sponsored this year by Colubris Networks, analyzes responses from 419 subscribers to Webtorials, an educational Web site for the computer networking industry. Companies Partner to Integrate Colubris MultiService WLAN System and AirMagnet Enterprise Software for Superior Security and RF Management

Colubris Networks recently outlined a wireless LAN road map that includes new products to create one network infrastructure that can serve both wired and wireless users. The goal is to create an access layer Ethernet switch, loaded with Colubris’ wireless-LAN software, that will use recently announced switching silicon by vendors such as SiNett or Broadcom to process wired and wireless traffic.
