Juniper hiring hints at buyout plans

Despite public statements to the contrary, Juniper appears to be moving fast on the acquisition front, particularly in wireless LANs. The Sunnyvale, Calif., company quietly appointed a vice president of business development late last year to, among other things, orchestrate the company’s acquisition of a wireless LAN player. Cisco attends Juniper ‘infranet’ meeting

Two representatives from Cisco this week for the first time attended a meeting of vendors and service providers brought together by rival Juniper to push for a secure and profitable public IP network.
